The Mini-Hot is an extremely effective and versatile pattern that has replaced Stimulators in my fly box. It has a durable body and sits low in the water. It can imitate a Caddis or Yellow Sally in green and yellow. It is also an attractor in blue, red, and purple. In tan, it is a very realistic fly. I had a bird fly down and try to take a tan Mini-Hot off the water. Surprised the heck out of me.
