Akiyamago Kebari

A traditional Kebari from the Akiyamago village on the border of Nagano and Niigata prefectures. It can be fished as a dry fly or wet fly. This is a simple fly, tied with thread, red floss, and one hackle. The hackle is wrapped along the entire hook and trimmed on the back for the body. I do put head cement on the hook prior to wrapping the hackle to keep the hackle from breaking and the kebari coming undone.
